Description
The Alzheimer Association's "All About the Brain" series is here to help raise awareness about Alzheimer's and related dementia.
Communication is more than just talking and listening — it’s also about sending and receiving messages through attitude, tone of voice, and body language. As the disease progresses, individuals living with Alzheimer’s or other dementia lose the ability to use words, but families can find new ways to connect.
Join us to explore how communication changes when someone is living with Alzheimer’s, learn how to interpret the verbal and behavioral communication, and identify strategies to help you connect and communicate at each stage of the disease.
Registration:
Advanced registration is not required. Instead, you will sign in when you attend the session. For any questions, please contact the Alzheimer Association's 24/7 Helpline at: 800.272.3900.
The Florida Gulf Coast Chapter's mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health. Visit us at alz.org/flgulfcoast
