This workshop will focus on the Reggio Emilia Inspired Environment and Documentation What: An in-person workshop for early childhood and K-2 teachers and administrators Investment: $125 per person, which includes: All Workshop SessionsBreakfast and LunchReggio Emilia Kits for the ClassroomState of Michigan SCECHsThis two part workshop will focus on the Reggio Emilia Inspired Environment in the morning and Documentation in the afternoon. Some concepts we will explore include: Provocations and loose parts as part of the environmentIntentional planning and questioning Guiding children in establishing their purpose for playMaking meaning of the world around us How documentation informs our next steps in learningHow processing documentation helps teachers encourage students’ to engage in deeper thinkingPractice and collaborate on documenting with artifactsParticipants will explore three Reggio-inspired classrooms and have hands on experiences exploring a variety of provocations and working as thought partners. Participants will also work to map out a project for their own classroom environments, using the tools explored in the workshop.
