An eggshell! Cascarones are colored eggshells filled with confetti. In Mexico, cascarones are used to celebrate during Carnival as well as at parties, weddings, birthdays, and other occasions. At the annual 10-day Fiesta San Antonio in Texas, over 100,000 (!) cascarones are smashed on participants' heads.
