As a native of Acton, I have a heart for Massachusetts and personal knowledge of the area. After graduating from the top-rated Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, I didn’t travel far to seek my higher education. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Tufts University’s School of Engineering, and later my MBA from Harvard Business School. I began my real estate career in 1990, and achieved success helping Pension Fund clients invest and manage commercial properties – office buildings, shopping centers, apartment complexes and industrial warehouse space. After 25 years in commercial real estate, I decided to pursue my true passion for working with people experiencing transition in their lives, and therefore where they live. Now a Realtor in residential real estate, and principal of Sutherland Realty Group, I specialize in the buying and selling of single family, multi-family, and condominium properties as personal residences and investments. Having purchased and sold a number of homes during my life’s journey, I understand the unique set of emotions associated with selling a current home and buying a new one. As a transition specialist, I take the front seat in this often chaotic and paper laden process, from the moment my client decides to move, through settling into a new place.
