Press release from the City of Roanoke: October 4, 2021 The Roanoke City and Alleghany Health District is now offering COVID-19 vaccine boosters for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to eligible residents by appointment only. This new, interim guidance allows for individuals who are at the highest risk for COVID-19 to receive a Pfizer COVID-19 booster shot to help increase their protection, including those in high-risk occupational and institutional settings. A full list of Pfizer booster qualifications is available here. Upcoming Health Department Clinics (Appointment Recommended): Thursday, Oct. 7, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. - Dabney S.
