HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Members are being sought to serve on the Howard County Public School System's LGBTQIA+ Advisory Committee. Community members of all orientations and gender identities who have an interest in supporting LGBTQIA+ HCPSS students are encouraged to apply for participation. Committee members will discuss how to best include LGBTQIA+ voices and provide ideas and input regarding guest speakers, activities and special events to support staff and student learning, the district noted. The committee will meet quarterly during the school year. Meetings during the 2021-2022 school year will be held virtually via Google Meet. Interested participants are asked to complete an online interest form by Oct. 11.
