TRAVIS COUNTY, TX — Seven inmates and three Travis County Sheriff's Office employees have tested positive for COVID-19 as of Monday, authorities said.
In total, there have been 453 positive inmate cases, 87 law enforcement officer cases, 233 corrections officer cases and 110 administrative and support staff cases at the sheriff's office since the pandemic began last March.
Officials with the sheriff's office said there are three inmates in quarantine, nine confirmed inmate cases in quarantine and 335 inmates are in isolation as of Monday.
Authorities have conducted 4,603 total COVID-19 tests on inmates. For employees, there have been 212 for law enforcement, 629 for corrections and 258 for administrative and support staff.
