2 Separate Long Valley Incidents Lead To DWI Charges

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Two separate incidents, a day apart, have resulted in multiple charges for two different drivers, including DWI, from Washington Township's Police Department. On Oct. 2, the police department reported that at about 4 a.m., responding officers were called to the scene after a car crashed into a utility pole on Mission Road. That driver, an unidentified man from Long Valley, was charged with DWI, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane, according to a police department news release on Tuesday. Lt. Mark Niemynski, a spokesperson for Washington Township Police, reported on the second incident from Oct. 3 at 1:45 a.m., when a man - who the police department also declined to name - but said he was from Washington, New Jersey, was stopped on Route 46. After the responding officer stopped him, he was charged with DWI, plus for speeding, reckless driving and for an expired registration.
