Description
SANTA MONICA, CA — Fairmont Miramar is celebrating 100 years of business in Santa Monica.
Former Sen. John P. Jones and his wife Georgina selected the location, which was originally a mansion on the cliff, Sam Jagger, General Manager, told KTLA5's LAunscripted. Jones relocated to Santa Monica from Nevada, and in 1885 co-founded Santa Monica.
In 1921, it became a hotel, Jagger said. And in 2021, it's now a centennial year.
To celebrate, the hotel is offering a signature centennial cocktail where you can toast to 100 years or cruise to the bungalows nestled in the private gardens.
People are invited to enjoy a moment near the pool and take in the incredible views. You can even step up your golf game and perfect your swing with a golf professional.
"We're ready," Jagger said. "We're welcoming everybody back through the doors and this is your home away from home."
