Offense(s)/Charge(s): Felony Breaking and Entering                                       Felony Larceny of a Motor Vehicle                                       Felony Larceny after Break and Enter                                       Misdemeanor Larceny                                       Misdemeanor Injury to Personal Property                                       Misdemeanor First-Degree Trespassing   Location of Incident: 128 Wallace's Grant Drive, Mooresville. Suspect(s): Nathan Baird Gross, 48 Years Old                     10824 Bedfordtown Drive                     Raleigh, North Carolina 27614  Sheriff Darren Campbell stated: On Sunday, October 3, 2021, Nathan Baird Gross was arrested by the Mooresville Police Department for DWI. He was then transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, his vehicle, a black 2017 Chevrolet Suburban was towed by 3T Towing, and secured in a fenced storage area. Gross was released from the Iredell County Jail and picked up by his wife at 5:02 am.  At 9:00 am, employees at 3-T Towing discovered the fenced storage area, and the business office had been broken into. Several items were reported stolen, to include the Chevrolet Suburban which belonged to Gross. The employees called the Iredell County Sheriff's Office to report this crime.  The responding deputies gathered all of the information on the vehicle and contacted the Raleigh Police Department to have them go to Nathan Gross's residence to see if the vehicle was there.   On arriving to the residence, Raleigh Police Officers located Chevrolet Suburban at the home.    Iredell County Sheriff's Office Criminal Detective M. Jennings was assigned the case. During the investigation, Detective Jennings obtained evidence showing Nathan Baird Gross was the person responsible for breaking into the business office then removing the vehicle.  Based on all of the evidence gathered throughout this investigation, Detective Jennings was able to secure felony and misdemeanor warrants on Nathan Gross, as well as receive a search warrant for his home Raleigh, and the Suburban. The Raleigh Police Department assisted with the execution of the search warrant. The stolen 2017 Chevrolet Suburban along with other items of evidence were recovered near the residence.   Gross was arrested on scene, and transported by Raleigh Police Officers to the Wake County Detention Center where he was served with the following Iredell County arrest warrants: Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny of a Motor Vehicle, Felony Larceny after Break and Enter, Misdemeanor Larceny, Misdemeanor Injury to Personal Property, and Misdemeanor First-Degree Trespassing. He received a 10,000.00 dollar secured bond on these charges.   The Iredell County Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Raleigh Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
