Course Description:
The OSHA Outreach Training Program teaches workers about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint as well as how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazards. OSHA authorizes safety and health professionals who complete an Outreach trainer course to conduct occupational safety and health classes for workers. After training is completed, trainers document their training to the Authorizing Training Organization, and receive student course completion cards to distribute to the workers they have trained. This course provides 10 hours of instruction specific to the hazards of construction workers covered by OSHA 29 CFR 1926 (Construction Regulations). A test must be passed to earn the OSHA card.
Schedule: Tuesday, 10/12/21 1-5 pm Wednesday 10/13/21 8 pm - 5 pm (Lunch 30 min)

HRPWA is a not-for-profit regional coalition promoting cooperative training in the various disciplines comprising Public Works in Southeastern Virginia. HRPWA has three primary objectives:
To coordinate lower-cost training for current Public Works and Utility employees
To educate area high school students with the goal of participants becoming future pre-trained Public Works and Utility employees
To provide networking opportunities for member organizations
