Half a million young people will be served in October through The John Maxwell Team Global Youth Initiative The John Maxwell Team Global Youth Initiative is an international movement comprising hundreds of free community events with topics ranging from leadership development, to anti-bullying, self-esteem and more to help the youth in communities around the world thrive. Both Maria Maier and Hanka Grabovica are certified speakers, trainers, and coaches for Central NY, and set up a goal to reach the youth in their community, and teach them that it's never too early to become a great leader now. As Nelson Mandela said, "the youth of today are our leaders of tomorrow." Maria and Hanka are both mothers who are passionate about youth development and success. The goal is to reach out to youth twice a year- in April and October to double the number of youth reached globally with other John Maxwell team members all over the world that are joining hands in doing that. During this two day event for different youth age groups, Hanka and Maria will facilitate engaging discussions on four main topics such as positive self-image and good character, how to stand up, build and value others. Older children will also have an opportunity to identify their key individual strengths, areas for personal growth, and examples of career paths that utilize their strengths. Today's youth need to know that they matter. Leadership starts within themselves and that they need to believe in themselves and that they are special and that they are valued. My passion is to bring out and facilitate harmony within individuals, and in the workplace today, in order to prepare employers for fulfilling lives, and the workplace of tomorrow.
