For families affected by Gun violence and Community leaders
This event was created by When Mourners Meet, They Mend organization lead by Elgina Smith. The event will feature fun and games for the youth and inspirational dialogue with families affected by gun violence and local community leaders.
Activities for the day will be:
12-4pm The Children Are Our Future: An interactive session of fun, games and conversation about the well being of our youth.
Arts craft face painting game bus
Guess youth speaker
Hot dogs chips juice cotton candy popcorn
4:30pm - 6:30 pm I Mean Business: 25 mother’s tell their testimony and their story about the loss of their son or daughter.
6:45pm- 8:00pm Let’s Break Bread: A sit down dinner where we will all fellowship and have positive dialogue about how we will work together going forward to decrease gun violence in our city.
