On November 6th pick up a quick, complete fall family dinner and support a great cause! Give yourself the night off from dinner prep while supporting a worthy cause. Chicken pot pie makes a complete, quick family meal for fall- just heat and eat! Pot pies will be available for pick up on November 6th. It's easy to show your support: order before 10/25, then drive through the Single Mom Strong Empowerment Center parking lot (in Citrus Heights near I-80 and Antelope) on 11/6 between the hours of 1:30-3:30pm for pick-up. November 6th also happens to be our 5th anniversary, so there's sure to be some celebration in our drive-through! Or, be one of the first twenty-five people to order five or more pot pies, and we will deliver them that afternoon (within 20 miles of the center). Have one for dinner that night and freeze the rest, or share with your neighbors! Feeling generous? Purchase one for yourself and a second to donate: feed a single mother's family dinner! Single Mom Strong's mission is to empower single mothers and their children through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs. Proceeds of this fundraiser will be used to support SMS programs and services, including our Pre-Employment and Life Coaching programs for single moms and our EmpowerME Preschool & Childcare programs for children. Statistics shows that children of single mothers suffer in a variety of ways and the mothers often find themselves living in poverty and riddled with guilt or frustration. But, we are here to change the statistics.  We believe that single mothers and their children do not have to be negatively impacted by this circumstance. In fact, being "single-mom-strong: having grit and determination; refusing to fail", is not detrimental at all... Single Mom Strong exists for the empowerment of single mothers and their children through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs.  Funds raised are used to advance our mission. It is the mission of Single Mom Strong to create a community of single mothers and children in support of one another, while empowering them to be their best selves, through enrichment, encouragement and educational programs.
