Come out and support local. Heights Flower Shoppe. On Wednesday September 1, 2021, the remnants of Hurricane IDA made its way into New Jersey, bringing dangerous tornadoes and drenching rain into the state. Due to the extreme amount of rainfall in a short amount of time, higher elevation areas that typically do not flood were dealt with flooded homes and businesses due to overloaded storm drains. One of these businesses, was the family owned and operated Heights Flower Shoppe in Hasbrouck Heights. Ray Vorisek and his family’s mom and pop flower shop sustained major damage due to flooding, and were dealt losses to many items that have been in his family for quite some time that he makes sure the public enjoy’s ever holiday season. To make things worse, the compressor system which runs the refrigerators to keep the flowers fresh was heavily damaged by flood waters. Heights Flower Shoppe has been there for many communities and families during the best and worst of times, and right now we’re asking for your help. This fundraiser will be held on 11/10/21 at The Fiesta in Wood Ridge to help benefit the business and Rays family. Thank you!
