Celebrate Día de los Muertos on two days, Tuesday, November 2 and Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Crown Hill Memorial Park & Mausoleum. The Hughes Family Tribute Center will present its seventh Día de los Muertos Celebración on two days, Tuesday, November 2 and Saturday, November 6, 2021 in Crown Hill Memorial Park & Mausoleum. The cemetery, located in the Bachman Lake area, is traditionally visited by families on Día de los Muertos. The Celebración builds on this tradition by presenting an opening parade; dance performances by Grupo Pakal Mayan Dance Company; mariachi music by Mariachi Lone Star; community art projects; children’s entertainment; a live concert by Latin band, Fusión Latina; a screening of the movie, Coco; and food and beverage concessions. Featuring the original costumes and decorations of artist Ricardo Alarcon, the Celebración will explore the heritage and cultural traditions of this Mexican and Central American holiday. The Celebración is free and open to the public.
