We are excited at the prospect of bringing the PBS documentary, Dolores, directed by Peter Bratt. Commemorating the end of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Hispanic Business & Professional Association (HBPA) are excited at the prospect of bringing the PBS documentary, Dolores, directed by Peter Bratt, in collaboration with the Chicana/o/x Studies (CHST) Program. The film chronicles Huerta’s evolution from teenage to a key architect of the national boycott of grapes. As co-founder of the United Farm Workers of America (UFW), Huerta fought for better working conditions for farm workers. She coined the slogan, Si se puede, to organize the community. At 91, she is still active organizing people to run for office and advocating on issues of health, education, and economic development.
