Join us for a guided walk in search of fall color ! Join us in search of fall color, wildflowers and other interesting plants on this guided walk. Who is Invited: Open to ages 8 and over; minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. Registration/reservations required! Sorry, no group registrations. When & Where to Meet: Arrive no later than 8:45AM. Meet at the Visitor Center by the rainwater harvesting tower. Be advised that the Natural Area often experiences heavy visitation and there may be wait time at the fee booth. Plan to be at the Visitor Center and ready to go no later than 8:45AM. The hike starts promptly at 9:00AM. What to Wear & Bring: Sturdy shoes; sun protection and at least one liter of water PER PERSON strongly recommended. Requirements: Minors must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian. No pets please. Participants must be able to walk over rocky, uneven ground. Registration, Fees & Cancellation: Registration is required for this hike. Group size is limited to the first 10 that register. Natural Area entry fees apply. This hike is subject to cancellation. Friends of Government Canyon is made up of a growing group of active volunteers who take pride in the work we do — from grooming trails to facilitating education programs to advocating the protection of the Aquifer and numerous resources found within the boundaries of the Natural Area. We are hikers, naturalists, artists, mountain bikers, runners, researchers, clean water advocates and in general, lovers of the outdoors with one common mission; protecting and preserving the Natural Area.
