Join us for a weekend of rest, relaxation, rejuvenation, & connection for survivors of suicide. This weekend retreat is only for survivors of suicide (a family who has lost a loved one to suicide). Unless given prior consent by The Front Porch Coalition, all who attend the retreat need to be 18-years-of-age or older. The retreat's goal is to offer opportunities for SOS participants to practice self-care, an environment that promotes relaxation and connection with other survivors. Survivors will have the chance to enjoy a massage, a light yoga class, pedicures, and community meals. On Sunday, our guest speaker is a family from Sioux Falls who lost their son to suicide in July of 2020 and has used their experience to advocate and fight for change regarding mental health services. Following our guest speaker, we will host a candlelight vigil. We encourage survivors to bring photos of their loved ones to share or hold close. All accommodations and services offered are covered by the cost of your registration fee. The Registration fee is $25.00 per room, not per participant. The Front Porch Coalition provides prevention, intervention, and postvention services to the community to work to prevent the incidence of suicide.
