Boilermakers Local 647 will be taking applications for its Apprenticeship Program on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at the Sioux Falls Labor Temple from 9:00am to 9:30am. We are seeking anyone willing to participate in a four-year apprenticeship (earn while you learn) on the job training program. Prior welding experience is helpful in learning the processes of our training program but not necessary. We require all applicants to be 18 years of age, have a copy we can KEEP of a Birth Certificate, High School Diploma or G.E.D. and any welding documents you may wish to submit at that time. This occupation requires travel and work at heights. Current starting pay is $28.66 per hour with medical insurance, annuity retirement and a pension plan additional to the wage.
