Cops Search For Suspect In Shooting Outside Barclays Center

BROOKLYN, NY — Police are asking the public's help to find the man who opened fire near the Barclays Center on Friday afternoon, hitting a 21-year-old man in the shoulder. The man shot multiple times into a red Nissan near Flatbush and Fifth avenues around 3 p.m., according to police. The bullets hit the 21-year-old in the upper left shoulder. He was brought to Kingsbrook Hospital, police said. The suspect ran from the scene after the incident, heading north on Flatbush Avenue towards Atlantic Avenue, police said. They released surveillance photo and video over the weekend from the scene. NYPD. NYPD. NYPD. Police said the suspect is in his 20s, has a slim build, black hair and was last seen wearing a gray hoodie sweater, gray sweat pants, dark boots and eyeglasses. He was seen carrying a black book bag on his back and a black firearm on right hand. The Barclays Center shooting was one of two within just a few blocks on Friday afternoon. Also around 3 p.m., a 16-year-old girl sitting in a nearby park was shot in the head. She remains in critical condition, according to police. Police have released photos of three people of interest from that incident.
