As part of the custodial staff with CGS you will be responsible for housekeeping and janitorial tasks on a large campus of one of our state customers. This position adheres to state and federal laws and institution policy. Under supervision and in accordance with established schedules, procedures and safety standards, performs housekeeping and service duties necessary to maintain the facility buildings in an orderly, safe, sanitary and attractive condition. Sample Job Duties • Empty waste baskets, dump trash, and replace trash bags • Wipe and clean furniture, such as desktops, tables, and other surfaces • Cleans walls, windows, and windowsills • Sweep, mop, and buff floors, vacuum and shampoo rugs, clean baseboards, dust furniture and fixtures, and wash windows and blinds • Strip and wax floors, as needed • Clean bathroom fixtures and stock bathroom with soap, toilet tissue, and paper towels • Clean areas requiring special cleaning methods, by use of specific cleansers, sterilized equipment, and/or disposing of contaminated wastes. Issues towels and bed linens to members/students • Collect and send dirty linens and towels to laundry • Load soiled articles into washing machine, load chemicals, set controls, remove and transfer articles to dryer, set controls, and remove articles when dry • Operate steam press to iron articles and fold articles for delivery • Sort, count, load, and deliver finished items to user • May mend damaged articles by machine or by hand sewing Experience • High-school Diploma or GED • 2+ years of housekeeping/janitorial experience • Able to pass a background check Some Benefits of the Position Include • Health, Dental, and Vision • Life Insurance • 401k • Flexible Spending Account (Health, Dependent Care, and Commuter) • Paid Time Off and Observance of State/Federal Holidays This is a job post for a position with CGS.
