Here are the top stories today in Madison: The Bird Collision Corps is a group of roughly 70 "citizen scientists" who monitor the affects of Madison buildings and other urban structures on wildlife. This includes tracking and photographing birds who hit glass windows and die. The Corps advocates for precautionary measures such as stickers or marks on large windows. (Wisconsin State Journal) Madison West High School senior, Simon Bilessi, was one of three students who died in a car crash on Saturday. Bilessi is remembered as an excellent student, friend and volunteer—working with One City elementary students at biking and soccer. (The Cap Times) Public Health Madison and Dane County have extended its face mask mandate to Nov. 5. Dane County remains in "high level of community transmission," according to the CDC.
