Powder Handling Technician
MolyWorks Materials Corporation is currently seeking a Powder Handling Technician. This is an entry level position perfect for anyone looking to learn and grow into the emerging industry of Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing.
MolyWorks is a small startup located in Cloverdale, CA. We are developing a shippable metallurgical system which can recycle battlefield scrap materials and produce high-quality metal powders for Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing).
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Safely handle and process metal powders including: sieving, weighing, blending, sampling, packaging, labeling, shipping, and disposal.
Operate sieving machines, blenders, and associated equipment. Must be able to maintain sieve equipment including disassembly, cleaning, installing screens, and reassembly.
Work with engineering and lab personnel to ensure powders meet specifications before shipping.
Maintain the powder room and all equipment therein, as well as all product inventory. Required to keep the area and equipment neat, clean, and free of powder.
Maintain shipping area and ensure that supplies are kept in stock
Manage company accounts with freight carriers and process shipments online
Maintain shipping documentation
MolyWorks will pay for Hazmat certification in compliance with IATA DGR and 49 CFR, and will train the Powder Handling Technician in hazmat shipping procedures and hazmat response procedures. The Technician will carry the hazmat response cell phone 24/7 and will be trained to respond to spills and other emergencies. Training will be provided for safe powder handling techniques and operation of all equipment.
Required qualifications:
Personable, organized, and detail-oriented
MS Office and basic skills in Windows operating system
Willing to learn a variety of skills in an emerging industry
Proof of US citizenship required, US Dept of Defense Contractor
