Please email your resume along with a brief description of why you think we are a good match! We are seeking to add another Interior Plant Technician to our team. Our facility is in San Jose, but we provide service throughout the entire Bay Area (and beyond!). The Plant Technician spends the majority of their time working in the field. Job duties include: operating a company vehicle (van) along a service route, making stops at customer accounts per the assigned daily schedule to provide indoor plant maintenance service. Service is made up of various tasks, including: watering, dusting, trimming and pruning the plants as required; identifying plant issues such as pests, illness or environmental stress and correcting or as needed; maintaining the visual appearance of plants by replenishing top dressing, re-staging, rotating grow pots, cleaning exterior containers and so on; submitting requests for and then installing replacement plants. Each service route is assigned to one technician. Plant technicians work alone (we do not use teams for maintenance). The employee must drive their assigned company vehicle because it doubles as a mobile storage unit, providing access when needed to all of the tools and materials required to perform the job. This job can be very physically demanding. The essential functions of this job include: prolonged periods of walking, standing, sitting while operating a motor vehicle, pushing/pulling carts and/or a water tank for long periods of time; grasping, use of pruners, scissors and other hand tools; carrying and lifting plants, containers and other materials (up to 30 lbs); filling, using and carrying water buckets; ; lifting, carrying and using step ladders; reaching overhead to trim, prune and dust; crouching; bending; leaning; stooping; kneeling; use of stairways, elevators and escalators; loading and unloading plants, material, water tanks, supplies and other items into/out of your assigned vehicle. *to be eligible, employee will work full time, have a clean driving record and a place to store the vehicle overnight
