BOSTON — A winning Powerball ticket sold in Boston is about to make one local resident $1 million richer.
The winning $1 million ticket was purchased at Downtown Convenience at 40 Boylston Street before Saturday night's drawing.
The winning Powerball ticket matched the first five numbers of the drawing, but no one has won the jackpot.
The jackpot - now up to $670 million, continues to increase in preparation for Monday night's drawing.
The cash option as of Monday morning is now at an estimated $474.8 million.
If someone wins this jackpot, this will be the 6th-largest win for the game and the 8th largest win in United States lottery history.
You can buy a ticket up until 9:50 p.m. Monday night at Mass. Lottery retailers across Massachusetts.
The drawing will be held tonight at 11 p.m.
