The IACP is hosting Alabama Tastemakers, a series of five different workshops hosted in collaboration with Cantley & Company + Design Shop. Join the IACP as we host the best and brightest of Birmingham's tastemakers for a series of workshops on Saturday October 23 and Sunday October 24. Pastry Chef Kristen Farmer Hall brings us a beautiful Pate Sucree demonstration! It’s a wonderful, home-baker-friendly sweet tart dough, perfect for the holidays. Kristen will demonstrate how to make, store, roll, and bake, followed by sharing samples of finished tart shells and some filled ones, as well!Dread River Distilling Co. Co-founder John Cubelic demonstrates a few creative spins on gorgeous autumn craft cocktails using Dread River’s housemade syrups and spirits.Melany Robinson is the founder of public relations firm Sprouthouse, which boasts an impressive portfolio of culinary clients. In this session she talks about the secrets to building a brand.Cyndy Cantley, the Lead Designer and owner of award-winning, nationally published kitchen and bath design firm, Cantley & Co., covers the top tips on entertaining, focusing on the tablescape and autumn style.Chef Tyler Lyne and Pastry Chef Jennifer Lyne of Tasting TBL will do a fall-themed chef’s demo with a savory dish of roasted squab in falling leaves and a pumpkin-shaped dessert of pumpkin bread and cream filling. IACP’s mission is to empower, educate, and engage culinary professionals around the globe.
