NEW HAVEN, CT — Rail service between New Haven Union Station and the Bridgeport train station has resumed after it was paused for around 45 minutes, Amtrak tweeted at around 2:23 p.m. Monday.
All service between the two cities stopped "due to police activity in the area," Amtrak Northeast tweeted at around 1:39 p.m. Monday.
Travelers can expect "residual delays" in the area as trains begin moving again, officials said.
NBC Connecticut reported that a person was taken to the hospital after getting into a substation while trespassing Monday.
Police received a report that a male had been burned, according to NBC Connecticut. He was transported to Bridgeport Hospital and is in critical condition, the news station reported.
