All individuals arrested or charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. REPORTS ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2021-10010239, 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 5:40 p.m. on October 1, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the victim was returning to his parked vehicle when the known male suspect placed a suitcase in front of the vehicle and demanded that the victim give him money in exchange for removing it. A verbal dispute ensued, during which the suspect struck the victim. The suspect then fled the scene prior to the arrival of police. The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention. A warrant for Attempted Robbery by Force was obtained for the suspect. BURGLARY (late), 2021-10020072, 800 block of S. Greenbrier Street. At approximately 8:24 a.m. on October 2, police were dispatched to the late report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that between September 29th and 30th, the suspect(s) entered the victim's residence and stole personal property and electronics. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing. PEEPING (late), 2021-09300147, 200 block of N. Thomas Street. An officer reviewing an online report determined that the incident was a late peeping. Upon making contact with the victim, it was determined that at approximately 12:25 p.m. on September 28, the victim noticed the unknown male suspect looking into her bathroom window before fleeing on foot.
