Make-A-Wish® Connecticut granted three-year-old Kaiser Roman's wish to have a shopping spree. Kaiser is a three-year-old full of energy; he loves to play with Hot Wheels and eat pizza. In fact, Kaiser is crazy about cars – all cars. Because he is growing, his mom thought he could wish for something that would make him super happy. You see, in addition to battling a nervous system disorder, Kaiser is non-verbal. His mom's hope was that his wish would make him more playful with her and his brother. It was decided that an in-person shopping spree would accomplish that goal. He needed new clothes and cars, lots of cars. On a Friday morning, Kaiser and his family began their journey by limousine from Meriden to the West Farms Mall in West Hartford. First on Kaiser's list was the Lego Store. There he got to pick out whatever his heart desired. Some of Kaiser's other stops included the Disney Store, Hollister, Gap for Kids and Kids Foot Locker. After lunch at California Pizza Kitchen and a long day of shopping, it was time for the limo to take Kaiser and all his shopping bags back home. To complete his shopping spree, all his toy cars were purchased online at Walmart. Kaiser's shopping spree gave him a chance to do something that made him happy. And his mom's wish came true too – Kaiser is happier and much more playful with his family – an impact that is sure to last a lifetime! Kaiser's mom said, "Kaiser's wish really made a difference. As soon as he got his cars, he began making more sounds like "zoom" and "vroom." I'm very proud of him." Thank you to Infinex Financial Group for adopting Kaiser's wish and creating hope for his family when they needed it most. Make-A-Wish is in the business of delivering hope, and hope has never been more important than now for our wish kids. It can be difficult to continue to hope when we have had so many dreams deferred due circumstances beyond our control, but the moment we have something to look forward to, everything begins to change. Hope is a superpower that kids living with critical illness, like Kaiser, have been tapping into long before many of us heard the word, "lockdown." Helping more kids find hope is something we all have the power to do, because for these children—as for all of us—the promise of a wish is so much more than a temporary escape. It's a wellspring of strength to keep fighting for better days. Hope is essential for children living with critical illnesses and you can unlock its transformative power today. Don't wait for hope; create it! Donate now at ct.wish.org.
