Description

DANBURY, CT — The City of Danbury Plan of Conservation and Development ("POCD") Oversight Committee has released an online survey to obtain input on important issues related to Danbury's growth and to help shape its vision for the future. The survey is part of the public engagement process for updating the City's POCD. A POCD is a municipal guide for managing growth and conserving resources. As required by state statutes, the city's Planning Commission is responsible for updating the POCD every ten years. The POCD was last updated in 2013. The POCD will address multiple issues related to stewardship of the city and provides a foundation for city policy, capital investment, and zoning regulations. Residents, employees, students, and travelers may visit the survey webpage to share their ideas on housing, economic development, open space and environmental resources, historic and cultural resources, transportation and infrastructure, city facilities and services, and sustainability. The survey may be accessed online here. If all questions are answered, the survey takes about 10 minutes. The survey is available in Spanish and Portuguese.
