Description
GLENDORA, CA — Residents may notice a little more color on the uniforms of Glendora Police Department officers this month.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and, Glendora police officers and support staff members will don uniforms with pink patches. The modified patches are part of the Pink Patch Project, a national effort among law enforcement agencies to help raise breast cancer awareness, the department said in a statement.
The department will also be selling the pink versions of its patches, with proceeds going toward breast cancer research. The pink patches are available at the police department's lobby and cost $10 each.
Previous years' patches are also available for $5 each, the department said. The department is only accepting cash for patch purchases.
