Here are the top stories in Duluth today: Gwinnett County family members of 27-year-old, Michael Turner, who was killed in a Gwinnett County hit and run, are urging the driver of the vehicle to turn himself in. That night, an SUV was making a U-turn when Turner had to swerve out of control to not hit the car. When he made the swerve, he hit a tree which ultimately lead to his death. The family is urging anyone with any information to come forward so that they can have some closure surrounding the situation. (FOX 5 Atlanta) Gwinnett commissioners are voting today on decriminalizing small amounts of cannabis. This is in an effort to minimize the amount of people in the prisons for minor drug charges. The vote will not take away the abolition of cannabis, but it would lessen the impact if someone is caught with the substance. If this is put into order, any individual caught with less than an ounce of cannabis will be charged a fine of $120 and will be sentenced to 20 hours of community service. (Gwinnettdailypost.com) A woman in Duluth, named Carlether Foley, has died after being accidentally shot in head while Maxwell Williamson was loading his gun. Williamson is now being held in the county prison without bond for involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct. (CBS46 News Atlanta) Local elections are coming up!
