Description
It’s hard not to fall in love with that face, and she has a personality to match! Minnie is a small (12 lb) mixed breed, that has an endearing underbite, and is thought to be ten or eleven years old.
I have been fostering little Minnie for about a week. She is very spry for her age and loves to go walking. I’ve walked her two miles, and she acts like she would love to keep going. She quickly adapted to my home and routine. When I put a blanket on the couch and placed her there, she immediately understood that’s her place. She has totally ignored my cat and other dogs we’ve encountered when walking. She is pretty reliably housebroken and rides well in the car.
She is basically just a very easy dog. However, she does seem to have some separation anxiety, which may disappear once she feels confident that she has found a forever home. She will also drink excessive water if allowed. She has been checked by a vet and could be placed on medication if this is an issue. I pick up her bowl at 8 p.m. and haven’t had any issue with her sleeping all night.
A good fit for Minnie would be a quiet home with a senior or someone who is around most of the day. She would be fine living in an apartment. She might benefit from some basic training, but she catches on very quickly.
Minnie’s adoption is through Cold Noses Warm Hearts. Please reply by email if interested.
