* Full Benefits * Competitive Pay * Great location * The Commissioned Security Officer observes and authorizes the entrances and departures of employees, visitors and other persons to guard against theft and maintain the security of the premises. This position is tasked with monitoring security cameras, writing daily activity reports, circulating among visitors and employees and calling police or fire departments in case of emergency. The Commissioned Security Officer communicates effectively with supervisors, peers and subordinates to maintain security and to manage emergency responses. High school diploma or its equivalent At least five years of related security experience, which can be substituted with a valid Texas peace officer’s license Must be at least 18 years of age Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Must demonstrate knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures and strategies Demonstrate proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite – e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook Professional personal and telephone demeanor Possess critical thinking skills Ability to coordinate people, groups or tasks Service-oriented Demonstrate an understanding of social cues to identify possible security threats Level III Texas Department of Public Safety Commissioned Security Officer license Valid Texas Class C Driver's License Record of safe driving for the last three years as shown on current MVR, with no serious accidents or traffic violations *Texas Disposal Systems is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
