Looking to adopt/purchase a puppy from Craigslist? B E W A R E
There are a ton of scammers looking to steal your money...and break your heart.
I am a rescue organization and not a day goes by that I don't hear the SAME story from how these slime balls on Craigslist scammed people looking to add a puppy to their family.
* If you cannot meet the puppy at the location of their home... B E W A R E
(excuses always given why it has to be a gas station, park etc), there is a great chance you are being conned.
* If the above is true, and they show up at a location other than their home with a puppy, and they take your money, there is a good chance they have had PARVO in their yard, and do not want to be contacted when your puppy is hospitalized or dies.
* If they DEMAND A DEPOSIT from you to "hold the puppy" without you knowing the address of where they live and have not met the puppy.... kiss your $$$$ goodbye. You will never see your money or a puppy.
* If you need to pay upfront shipping charges (usually a front for stealing your money), you can say goodbye to your money.
BE SMART... DON'T GET CONNED... no matter how convincing it seems.
I look at all these ads for puppies, often with fake pictures... and I think, someone is getting scammed right now.
