ISO loving dog for sweet folks

Please read full description of what we are looking for! My best friends who are an older couple and have a fenced property are looking to get another dog now, their current dog is an old male lab who is loving to animals and an outdoor dog used mainly for protecting the property. Literally all animals they've had have wandered up onto the property and been taken in or have been found dumped places and rescued by them, and cared of for years. These people are very caring and nuturing people towards animals, they are very prompt about setting vet appointments if they notice an issue starting. They also ensure the animal's lives are enriched and they are constantly spending time together. However they recognize this is a special type of situation. This would be an outdoor only dog they are seeking, as their older dog wants a friend/ needs a seeing eye dog to take over protecting the property. They are partial to lab mixes but open to other types. They're also seeking a larger dog that would scare off bears seen in the area. The dog has to be friendly to female and male dogs as I visit with mine often. The dog also needs to be accustomed to cats and be okay with them. They're hoping to get an young adult dog anywhere from 1-4 years old. They are also seeking vet information, as they've had people back out of the adopting process because they cannot provide proof of vaccinations/ proof of care. They are willing to travel for the right dog to make a part of their family. Please provide pictures and info if you reply! Thanks so much!
