Millions of local residents are on government-subsidized insurance. In fact, 1 in 3 Marylanders are on Medicaid. In some communities 1 and 2 Medicaid recipients suffer from a chronic illness. To make matters worse, COVID-19 has made it increasingly hard for some to get the access to healthcare and wellness services that they so desperately need. That’s why we’re trying to improve access to healthcare with direct engagement in the community with Medicaid recipients. To do this we’re looking for a handful of people to knock on doors in the developments that they live in or canvas in their community to engage with Medicaid recipients. DESCRIPTION: The assignment should take 3-5 days. We’re looking for Wellness Ambassadors (Community Advocates) to engage with 100 Medicaid recipients in their community. You will help these recipients take two health assessments and perform a blood pressure screening. The assessments and screening take about 10-15 minutes to complete. After successful completion of the assignment, we may offer successful Wellness Ambassadors with an extended contract for continued engagement in their community. Must be 18+ years to participate in this assignment. PAY: $1000 plus potential bonuses for engaging with 100 Medicaid recipients at the end of the assignment. (Assignment could take up to 7-days depending on your availability.) DUTIES: Collect the following information from Medicaid members: Health Risk Assessment Mental Health Assessment Blood pressure screening If you’re interested please do the following: Go to Signup Take your HRA Take your MHA Create a Community Forum Add your primary care provider to the app (If you do not have one, Google one that is nearby you and add it to the database) In your Community Advocate portal in the app view the training resources provided to get started. Lastly, message us--HHG Admin in the app letting us know that you are interested in getting started and we’ll get any necessary equipment out to you if you’ve requested it. This assignment does not require you to submit a resume. If interested please follow the steps above to get started.
