Looking to start a psych-folk/krautrock/experimental kinda thing

Description

Hey all, Looking to get some folks together to do a little 'splorin! Currently, I'm most interested in playing either electric guitar or amplified 12-string acoustic, but also am pretty capable on bass and pedal steel should that be a necessary or interesting element. Looking for drummers, bassists, keyboard players, or if you play something less traditionally "rock band," that might be a good fit if you see yourself as being tasteful and locked in. I like the idea of making some composed/written pieces with a bit of non-shreddy improv thrown in. Meditative stuff, but not in the "sitar with flanger all over it and paisley everywhere" cornball kinda way. If you're familiar with Trad, Gras, Och Stenar, or are the type of person that geeks out on the Velvets, we might be on the same page in terms of getting started. Kinda quiet (but maybe not), kinda contemplative, restrained psychy-folky-rock are what I seek to zone in on. Hit me up if this sounds interesting. I live in Chapel Hill, would be willing to travel anywhere in the Triangle. I don't really have an ideal place to practice but could potentially set something up if need be.
