This weekend making adjustments to my hydroponics system - growing plants in water in a pipe. It is interesting stuff but we will be removing some gravel from the bed, then lifting and adjusting the 4" pipes, securing them in place, and replacing the gravel. Getting the pipes adjusted correctly is a little bit complicated and it definitely takes at least 2 people to make the adjustments. But when it works it is great! Our whole vegetable garden is grown just in water pumped out of a nearby turtle pond so the water naturally fertilizes the plants and the plants then clean the water which is returned back into the pond. You don't need to have any technical knowledge for this job, just the patience to work with me and my boyfriend on our pet project! 3 blocks from Potomac Ave Metro, 5 from Eastern Market, on street parking available. If things go well we may have work for you every weekend...
