Guitarist starting a metalcore band

Hello Ithaca! My name is Alex, I am 30 years old and am looking for committed musicians to form a metalcore project. I reside in Newfield and have rehearsal space for the band to practice at (just gotta let the roommates know when we plan to have them). I have been playing guitar for the better part of 7 years or so and have written some songs. I would choose to be the rhythm guitarist but if we can't find a lead that fits for the project I can fill that role. I work weekdays so I could only rehearse in the evenings from 6 - 9pm. I have my own equipment to get me by but not equipment for the whole band so hopefully you are prepared. If not, I do plan on getting a new guitar eventually and my roommate has an electronic drumset but it lacks the double bass pedal which is crucial to the sound.
