HurriCon is the comic art convention that benefits Bethany Congregational Church of East Rockaway, New York. HurriCon was created in 2018 as a fundraiser to help refinish the Bethany gym floor that was damaged after it was used as the relief center for months after Hurricane Sandy. What will you find at HurriCon? Comics, action figures, art, toys, Pops, writers, the walking taco, artists, and food; literally something for everyone and the place to find that unique holiday gift. This year we are featuring East Rockaway native pop artist John Hartt (check out his instagram @jo.rtt), Star Trek novelist Michael Jan Freidman, Marvel and DC Comics inker Keith Williams, "Star Wars Mazes"creator Sean Jackson, and much more! Admission is a $5 donations to the church and kids under 12 in costume get in free! All proceeds from admission, raffle and food sales go directly to the church and the staff is all volunteer. So come to 100 Main Street, East Rockaway New York on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 10am to 5pm and join us for HurriCon 2019!
