We are always looking for qualified and experienced individuals to direct and staff our campuses and TRAIN TOMORROW’S TECHNICIANS. We currently have an opening for a Carpentry Program Coordinator to work at our Norfolk, VA campus. Responsibilities Include: • Supervise all Carpentry Faculty • Recruit qualified instructors when necessary. • Assign class/teaching schedule • Recommend hiring and dismissal of Carpentry instructors, and take an active role in interviewing new instructors • Oversees inventory of department equipment and supplies, submits request for purchases to Director of Education (DOE)/Campus Executive Director (CED) for replenishment of supplies as needed • Audit all Carpentry Program curricula to ensure that instructors are using the most current syllabi, lesson plans, and textbooks as indicated on the intranet site • Ensure that the Carpentry program operates in compliance with the regulatory agencies governing our schools • Assist the DOE in the creation, monitoring and updating of Faculty Personnel Report (FPR) for each Carpentry Instructor • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other workplace safety regulatory agencies • Work with the DOE to design and fabricate training aids that will help meet the requirements of the Carpentry Curriculum • Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Education or Campus Executive Director.
