NexGen Construction is looking for a Solar Installer Apprentice living near 90720. This position will provide support to the lead installers and you will be joining an up-beat, friendly team. We would love to find someone who is a hard worker, pleasant, and blends into our work environment well! Solar Installer Apprentice Duties: - Follow all company policies - Aid lead installer in installation of residential solar pv - Load inventory for each project - Lift, layout, and install solar pv - Maintain a clean and operable work environment - Drive company vehicle to job site and back when necessary - Maintain positive points of contact with customers - Additional duties required as needed Qualifications - Must have a high school diploma or GED - Must have a clean driving record - Must have a valid drivers license - Must be able to pass a criminal, driving, and drug screening - Regular and reliable attendance required - Previous construction experience a plus - Must be able to lift above 50 lbs - Must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions - Must be comfortable climbing ladders, being on a roof, crawling in attics and crawl spaces - Excellent customer service skills - Excellent communication skills - Must be able to present themselves in a professional manner Benefits - Paid hands-on training - Overtime pay 1.5x - Bonus pay - Referral program - Tuition reimbursement - Accumulated paid vacation - Holiday pay - Sick pay - Pay Depending On Experience (DOE), starting from minimum wage, with raises as knowledge and ability to contribute to the team increases
