Representation of global cultures through many channels: food, music, dance, authentic goods to admire and purchase. Come and enjoy live world music and youth dance troupes, country showcases, artisanal vendors, gourmet food trucks, demonstrations, German Beer Garden, and children's programming. Lachat Town Farm would like to celebrate the global diversity in our community through an International Festival and Market, which will take place on Saturday, October 23, from 12-5pm. This program will provide an opportunity for residents with ties around the globe to flaunt their cultural roots, showcasing approximately 20+ countries that make up our community. Our music line up kicks off at 12pm with renowned bagpiper, Jesse Ofgang followed by Sheridan Ruitan Irish Band at 2pm, Goza Latin Band at 3pm, and Wula African Drumming at 4pm. Check back often for time changes and more performer additions. Also partake in demonstrations like Ikebhana Japanese Flower Arranging and Fencing. Be sure to bring your appetite - we will have food trucks including Caribbean Grill and Christophe's Crepes. Check back often for more additions. To support your local farm and and to control capacity on our lower lot, we are asking all that would like to park on the lower field at 106 Godfrey Road to pre-register their family/car. The $25 is per family and includes parking on our lower field. All others can park on the upper field at 1 Ladder Hill Road for $20 per family. Lachat Town Farm's mission is to provide ways to unite all generations around a community farm effort by celebrating Weston CT's farming roots and offering extensive educational programs related to agriculture, the environment, sustainability, nutrition, and the arts while fostering an appreciation for the history of Weston and it's diverse community
