Join The Peoples Bees for an educational happy hour that celebrates bees and advocates for pollinator-friendly living. The Peoples Bees is an urban beekeeping business in Denver on a mission to connect the people to the bees through apiculture, education, and advocacy. We do this through hive hosting and sponsorships, beekeeping experiences, speaking engagements, and amazing partnerships for events just like this! Your admission will include: one honey-infused chicha (or other beverage of your choice)interactive talkhoney tastinggiveaway entryand more!All sales fund The Peoples Bees' community service efforts, including swarm rescue, educational programming offered to Denver Public Schools, Denver Public Libraries, and Colorado Parks & Wildlife, and honey and money donations to local non-profits. Bring the kids! Children under 14 years of age will be admitted for free. Must be at least 21 years of age with valid government-issued identification to redeem your drink ticket for any alcoholic beverage. Non-alcoholic beverages will be available.At this time, masks are not required but encouraged. Our Host: Dos Luces BreweryWestword 2019 Best of Denver Winner Dos Luces is a brewer of two unique Latin American beer types: chicha (from corn) and pulque (from agave sap), both of which are bright, rich, complex, and naturally gluten-free. For this event, they'll have an exclusive chicha on tap infused with The Peoples Bees' raw Denver honey! Not drinking alcohol? Not a problem. Dos Luces' Chicha Morada is a delicious non-alcoholic chicha made from purple corn, fruit, spices, and sugar. Bring your library card! Denver Public Library will be joining the party.The Ross-Broadway Branch Library will have a curated collection of books ready for check-out, as well as a button-making station so you can loudly and proudly declare your love for pollinators.
