Steampunk in the Trunk: Show with Ed and Nancy!
Ed Freiheit makes Steampunk come to life for himself and his friends with his funky top hats, futuristic goggles, and jewelry crafted of watch parts, old vacuum tubes, and cutlery. His former life as a math teacher left a gap in his need for creation and discovery, but he's been making up for it ever since with his company Bug and Mowl, which he shares with his equally creative wife Janice.
Paired with Ed for today's trunk showcase is our new friend, Nancy Robbins:
Nancy is local to Garland, TX and is a mixed media artist who loves all things color, found objects, and the unusual!
Her Hue Fusion Illumination lamps were created combining color explosions with light as a modern day take on her beloved ’70’s lava lamp! She often uses upcycled cigar boxes as the nests in which her colors land, once again saving found objects from over-filling land fills.
Former owner of Makers Connect (and current maker of jewelry)
