The East Coast premiere screening of "A White Man Walks Into A Barbershop" presented as a fundraiser for The Mendhams Diversity Committee FenceSitter Films along with writer/director (and Mendham Borough resident) Kyle Schickner and The Mendhams Diversity Committee are taking over The Backer Farm for the evening for a special East Coast premire screening of his controversial and critically accliamed documenary "A White Man Walks Into A Barbershop." A portion of the proceeds will go to The MDC to help continue their important work in Mendham. The famous Backer food truck will be on hand plus popcorn and soda will be availible for everyone. There will be a panel discussion and Q&A immediately following the film moderated by Diversity Committee member Trishna Goswami. The panel will discuss the film and what we as a community can do to make everyone feel safe and supported. Although the film has not been rated, there is strong language and mature subjet matter pertaining to race. High schools across the counrty have been screening the film for juniors and seniors, the administration deeming the subject matter it appropriate for stundets in that age range. There is no age restriction for the screening but parental discression is advised.
