As a safe alternative to Trick or Treating, The Harvest Connection invites you join us for a night of festivity. As a safe alternative to Trick or Treating, The Harvest Connection invites you join us for a night of festivity. “Trunk or Treat” is our church-sponsored fall celebration event. People gather and park their cars on the street or in the parking lot. They open their trunks, or the backs of their vehicles, and decorate them. Then they pass out candy from their trunks. The event provides a safe family environment for trick or treaters, the children of our church and community. We cannot wait to see the creative trunks and costumes, and we cannot wait to meet you! TRUNK OR TREAT FAQS I am not a member of Harvest Connection, can my family and I still come to “Trunk or Treat?” Yes! This event is for our community. All of Cary and beyond are welcome to enjoy in the festivities of “Trunk or Treat!” How much is it to get in? It is FREE! It doesn’t cost the children and families anything to participate in the festivities. Come and enjoy! Will there be food at the event? Yes, there will be a FREE dinner with sides and sweets. How should I decorate my vehicle? You can decorate your trunk in any way that is family friendly toddler to elementary age children. Traditionally, most trunks in the past have been decorated with them from fall, harvest, Bible, cartoons, superheroes, sports and sci-fi. Please use a family-friendly imagination but DO NOT use any scary items, like blood, bats, witches, spiders, monsters, gore, etc. Are there other ways to volunteer aside from decorating a vehicle? Yes! We need people for all sorts of tasks to prepare for the event and for the day of the event. Please contact Pastor Andrew Barclift to see where God can use you for this great outreach event. Where can I bring candy to donate? Please bring candy to the church office during office hours (9-3 p.m.; Tuesday-Friday). A box is also set-up in the church for candy donations during church services. I am not a member of Harvest Connection, can I still volunteer to decorate my vehicle or help in another way? Yes, you can! We will ask you to adhere to the guidelines we have set to ensure a safe family environment. We would love to have community members volunteer, after all this is an event that is open to the entire community! Call (559) 581-5744 At Harvest Connection, our doors are open to people from all backgrounds, regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey. We’re passionate about people and providing them a place to have a life-changing experience through prayer, word, worship, outreach and community development.
