We're making 2 fermented pickle varities to take home. All supplies, recipes & a farm tour with lite lunch & beverages is included.
Join us on Saturday, October 30th from 11 - 1:30 pm for a fermented pickle workshop with Dave Blume, owner of Whiskey Hill Farm.
Learn the basics of preserving produce through the process of fermentation and pickling in this informative, demonstration-style workshop. We’ll explore the health benefits, safety, and methods of fermenting and pickling. Using seasonal produce from our farm, we’ll prepare a recipe for everyone to take home, take care of, and enjoy!
Workshop includes all ingredients & supplies for making 2 quarts of pickles using heirloom varities mixed with other farm items & herbs for exceptional flavor profiles.
Tickets are $60 per person or 2 for $100 and includes tastings of what they grow plus a tour of their greenhouses and distillery. We'll be serving a lite vegetarian lunch & beverages. Attendees are welcome to bring their own beer & wine to enjoy with our lunch.
Produce and other items from their farm will be available for purchase after the workshop.
PLEASE NOTE: These are small group, (15-24 people max) workshops where all activies take place in open, well ventilated areas. Social distancing measures are observed in compliance with county Covid guidelines. We request that unvaccinated participants wear masks.
Bring your own vegetable peeler and paring knife for processing the cucumbers. Dress in layers for warmth and wear sturdy shoes.
In the event of cancellation, refunds minus the Eventbrite fee will be refunded.
